About
We, the UWC Counselors Network, across 18 schools and four continents, are excited to welcome you to our Virtual Fairs and Events for the 2021-2022 academic year!
We will be hosting two days of Davis Partner Institution Fairs on September 14 and September 20th. In order to keep the student-to-university ratio optimal, we will split the Davis Partner Institution list in half. Institutions 1-50 will be on September 14; Institutions 51-99 will be on September 20.
Please ensure you check the list and register for your designated day. There will be morning and afternoon sessions for each day so that you can meet all students throughout the entire 18 school movement! We hope that these virtual fairs will make it easier for you to meet all UWC students at once, and will allow UWC students to meet you all in one place. The registration fee covers both fairs on your day.
We will also be hosting a third event on October 6th; the “UWC Scholarship Partners Fair” to welcome colleges outside of the Davis program that have generously supported our students in the past, and who have historically offered significant financial support to our students.

College-abroad planning can be daunting and our team at Methodist University fully relates to this because we were in this position not too long ago. Most of us came to the US as international students with different ranges of scholarships, worked very hard during our four years and secured a job in the US right after our graduation. I would call Methodist University a hidden gem. It is a 1769 student body experiential learning based college with more than 80 programs in the field of science, commerce and arts. Majors and development programs at the university are specialized and professionally focused. The Center of Undergraduate Research and Creativity has rigorous fellowships that support students in undergraduate research and publications with professors. Our robust career services has placed students in internships at institutions such as UN, Duke University and Yale University. In addition, our students have graduated and started working for companies such as Kelloggs, Amazon and Duke Energy. They have pursued graduate school with full funding at Cornell University, University of Chicago etc. Come meet me at your school and we can discuss your opportunities at MU!

Don't forget to ask me about our commitment to UWC-Davis Scholars and their growth and scholarship opportunities at Methodist University.

This setup provides students with an opportunity for an intimate, liberal arts experience while enjoying the resources of a mid-sized university in the Claremont Colleges. Some of the shared resources include having access to more than six thousand courses, a library with more than two million volumes, and more than 17 dining halls and eateries.

• Faculty: More than 80% of faculty live within a ten-mile radius of campus. Professors build close-knit relationships with students and provide mentorship and guidance outside of the classroom, as well as lots of opportunities for research and internships.

• Sponsor groups: Students are placed in a sponsor group for their first year. This is a group of fifteen first-year students who become your family on campus.

• 47 things every Sagehen should do before graduating: This Pomona tradition is a list of 47 things that students should explore during their four-year experience. These experiences will take students all over Southern California and beyond! A number of these will be sponsored by the college every semester

We are often called “the most contrarian college in America.” Or “the most rigorous college in America.” Or “the most intellectual college in America.” No matter how you define us, St. John’s College is unlike any other. Our students share a common curriculum centered on reading and discussing 200 of the greatest books in history. Students learn directly from Plato, Austen, Einstein, Woolf, and Du Bois, to name a few. Instead of lectures and majors, all classes are discussion-based exploring philosophy, literature, science, music, language, politics, and more. With a 7:1 student to faculty ratio, the college ranks #5 for best classroom experience and #9 for best undergraduate teaching. Our welcoming community has fewer than 900 students on two campuses: one in Annapolis, Maryland, and the other in Santa Fe, New Mexico. All UWC students receive full-tuition scholarships at St. John’s, making us among the most international colleges in America.

Whitman College meets need for all international students in scholarship. To determine your financial need, we use the Whitman International Student Financial Aid Application (WISFAA), an internal, highly simplified, and FREE financial aid form.

Whitman offers a unique Environmental Studies major, where students must pair Environmental studies with a secondary area (biology, psychology, politics, economics, sociology, anthropology, humanities, chemistry, physics or geology) for a highly unique interdisciplinary degree.

Majors at Whitman only make up a little less than one third of your overall coursework. It is easy to double major, and to keep picking up new academic interests and fun elective all four years.

Whitman students all complete a capstone project in their major--a research-based thesis, or an equivalent set of comprehensive projects and presentations.

Though it sounds a little daunting, Whitman students have fun working closely with professors and peers on capstone projects. They also have a lot of control over the project that they choose! It is an excellent resume builder and a highly enriching experience.

We have a wide variety of programs, 106 in total, in the areas of Business, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Science & Mathematics, but the areas that are unique and where we excel are: Business Entrepreneurship & Marketing; Neuroscience; Psychology; Sports Studies; Physics & Astrophysics; and Arts Administration. Our key is that due to our relatively small size, 2,900 students, we can offer intimate classes where professors engage with students and provide them with opportunities to put theory into practice through research, case studies, client projects, experiential learning, independent study, teaching assistantships, and a wide variety of other experiences that are typically reserved for students studying at the Master’s level. Engagement and community are the two words that describe us best in all aspects of Bishop’s but the one thing we are most proud of is the fact that we have been ranked #1 in Canada for Student Satisfaction two years running (Maclean’s 2016 & 2017) and rank in the top ten percent in North America for various student satisfaction metrics (National Survey of Student Engagement – NSSE 2015).
